It’s been nearly a week since my last post, but now that the cold has come and gone, there really isn’t much on the horizon to talk about. You can expect a little snow (an inch or two at most) overnight and into tomorrow. Beyond that, the next week to ten days looks warmer with more seasonable temperatures and a decent amount of sunshine.

Looking even further down the road, there is some discrepancy between major models in terms of temperature. One model has been a little bullish on warmer weather, though the last few runs have been cooler. The other model is more bullish on cold air returning, with another chance for subzero temperatures in late January or early February. The result is a relatively down the middle of the road temperature outlook in the 8-14 days range. The pattern should become more active as we head into February as well.

Unfortunately, neither model is seeing much in the way of snow in the next two weeks. We’ll see how things unfold. I still think that things will get more active as we head into February, which should include more chances for snow.
