Mostly cloudy today with increasing chances for rain and scattered thunderstorms as the day wears on. There is a low risk of some ponding and minor flooding should anyone get caught under training storms. A few storms could be strong, but widespread severe weather is not expected. You can see the leading edge of the rain near the IL/IN state line.

The rain is progressing slowly in our direction while continuing to flow over the same area (training). Fortunately, the rain appears to be pretty light. Temps only fell to around 70°F this morning, so even though we will only warm up 5-10°, it will still be close to 80°F this afternoon.

A chance for extreme heat in mid-June has popped up in the last two hazards outlooks…
