Today is day one of some time off and away for me and my family, and it will be the last forecast for a few days. Variably cloudy today with a high in the low to mid 80s

Over the next week or more, the theme will be increasingly hot and humid. The day to watch right now is Wednesday, when there is a chance of severe thunderstorms.

Beyond Wednesday, highs in the 90s with diurnally driven showers and storms look possible. The heat may hang on for a while, too.
