We’ve been pretty spoiled lately with generally spectacular weather, albeit a little cool lately. The nice weather is expected to continue, but the chilly/cool temperatures lately will moderate significantly as we get to midweek. A return to near 80°F is anticipated for the next 7-10 days. One caveat is that it will remain chilly early for several days. In fact, we should approach and possibly even break the record low for tomorrow morning (37°F, 1986).
We should buck the cooler-than-normal trend for a bit soon, but we will remain rather dry overall.

Some unseasonably warm temperatures are possible in mid-September.

The warm and dry trend looks to continue into at least early October.

It’s still too early to make any even remotely reliable winter forecast, but data remains consistent that temperatures will fall from above normal through most of fall to more seasonable levels through winter, with steady signals for normal to above-normal precipitation.
Enjoy the beautiful weather over the next week or so. We all know it won’t last.
