For the first time, I’m sitting by a fire in the backyard as I write this. For the third night in a row, we are having a fire in the backyard with s’mores. I grew up looking for satellites in the sky at night with my dad, and last night was the first time I ever got to do it with my five-year-old. And thanks to my new phone, I’ve been able to capture some pretty interesting photos of the night sky these past few evenings, including this satellite passing over.

Might need to turn up the brightness on your phone screen.

It’s been a great weekend. The weather has just been utterly perfect. Even better, the forecast for next week looks almost identical to this weekend. We should see lots of sun each day, highs in the 70s, and lows in the 40s.

Things look like they’ll warm up just a little bit this weekend, and there is a chance of rain as early as Sunday. Regardless, the next week or so looks incredible, and like one of those weeks, we will be looking back on it in two or three months, wishing we could have it again when it’s 20°F and cloudy for a month straight.

The most recent WPC outlook shows no rain expected locally over the next five days, and if we extend it further, another few days show less than a quarter of an inch in the 7 day range.

Things do look a bit more active, though, and it’s continued warm as we head into mid-October.

I hope you can get out and enjoy the weather while it lasts. We all know our days are numbered. There are some really great attractions around town too. We loved our time at Kercher’s today and will make it to Amazing Acres soon. We highly recommend both.

Have a great week!
